Want to volunteer with SCMHA?

Follow these steps:

1. *NEW* Coaches/Volunteers only

    Coaches/Volunteers who already have a Hockey Canada account

Create a Hockey Canada member profile, or log in to your existing member profile.  This is how Hockey NS can track your checks and training completed.

2. Complete a Criminal Records Check at your local RCMP/Town Police station and submit it to the office. The CRC must include the vulnerable sector check.  This must be resubmitted every 3 years.

3. Complete any required coaching/safety courses.

*first time coaches will sign up for a course called 'Coach 1', and a course called 'The Shift Forward' - these are both available through your Hockey Canada account.

Coaching qualifications must be completed before December 1st.  Those who have not completed their qualifications will be removed from the bench.

Coaches pay for their coach-training directly to Hockey Canada.  Please send your receipts to our office admin: scminorhockey@gmail.com to be reimbursed.
