RIC - Referee In Chief Position

Term: 2026-2027 Hockey Season
 
South Colchester Minor Hockey Association is seeking a dedicated, organized, and leadership-driven individual to fill the role of Referee in Chief (RIC) for the upcoming 2026-2027 hockey season.
The RIC plays a critical role in our association by supporting our officials, ensuring fair play, and fostering a positive, safe, and healthy sports environment for all youth athletes. If you have a passion for officiating, mentorship, and community sports management, we want to hear from you.
 
Qualifications
  • Strong background in hockey officiating with a deep understanding of Hockey Canada rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to mentor younger or less experienced officials.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain assessment logs and meet monthly reporting deadlines.
  • A commitment to upholding SCMHA’s values of respect, safety, and fair play.
 
Interested candidates are invited to submit a letter of interest outlining their qualifications, officiating background, and why they are the right fit to lead our officiating team this season.
Please address and send your letter to the SCMHA Executive for consideration.
